What We Offer
Francis House is a non-profit, day respite
center designed to respond with compassion and justice to the
spiritual, emotional, educational, and physical well being of
individuals and families infected, affected and at risk for
HIV/AIDS.
Francis House is committed to providing the
best possible services and strives to enlighten lives with positive
change.
All services offered are free of charge.
Support Groups - held from 11:00 am 12:00pm.
- Monday – Emotional Awareness
- Tuesday - Relapse Prevention
- Wednesday - Spirituality
- Thursday – Topic of the Day
- Friday – Men’s Group – 11:30am
Women’s
Group 11:30am
- Lunch – Provided daily at 12:00pm.
(Friday’s @ 12:30pm)
- Mental Health Counseling – by appointment
- Substance Abuse Counseling (Recovery
Support) – by appointment
- Reflexology – 1x per month. Must be a
registered client. Please call for information.
- Recreational Therapy – Francis House
provides many different recreational activities including weekly
Bowling @ Pinchasers. Wednesday’s at 1:00pm.
- Francis House Dollars – Francis House
Dollars can be earned by all registered clients by participating
in our services and volunteering at the facility. Dollars can be
used in our food pantry and thrift store.
- Food Pantry – Funded through the Fred B.
Sieber Foundation, Francis House provides emergency food boxes
to those persons referred through their case managers.
Participating clients can use their Francis House Dollars daily
for non perishable food and hygiene products.
- Thrift Store – Eligible clients are able
to use their Francis House dollars for clothing, household
items, toys, games, books and children’s items.
- HIV Education – Hold and HIV educational
class for your class, church, or family. Classes also provided
to health and social service workers, clergy and religious
personnel. Classes can be scheduled by calling 813-237-3066.
- HIV Testing - Free, confidential OraSure
testing. Please call for an appointment.
- Retreats – Scheduled two times per year.
